1) License & use
We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the App on Apple‑authorized devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application EULA. Do not use the App for unlawful purposes, attempt to reverse engineer it, or bypass technical limitations.
2) Subscriptions, trials, and billing
The App may offer a free trial followed by a monthly subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions auto‑renew unless you cancel in your Apple account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple handles billing, renewals, and refunds under its policies. We do not receive your payment card details. Prices may change; Apple manages renewal notices under its terms.
3) Device, camera & environment requirements (important safety notice)
Main feature availability (hands‑free page turning): The hands‑free page‑turning feature is only supported on certain iPad models that include either Apple’s TrueDepth front camera system or an Apple Neural Engine capable of on‑device processing. As of the date above, supported devices are:
- iPad Pro (2018 or newer — 11‑inch all generations, 12.9‑inch 3rd gen or newer, or 13‑inch)
- iPad Air (3rd generation or newer)
- iPad mini (5th generation or newer)
- iPad (8th generation or newer)
On other iPad models, the App will still run and function as a PDF score reader, but hands‑free page turning will not be available. Device/feature support may change with future iPad models or iPadOS releases.
AutoTurner’s hands‑free page turns use the front camera and, when available, face‑tracking capabilities. Performance depends on your device and environment:
- Occlusion: hair, hats, masks, glasses glare, microphones, or stands can reduce accuracy.
- Lighting: very low light, strong backlight, or intense stage lighting can impair detection.
- Angle & distance: the best results are typically when the camera is roughly perpendicular to your face at a suitable distance; extreme angles or moving the device can degrade results.
- Hardware/OS: results vary by model, sensor quality, and system load. Crashes, OS bugs, covered lenses, or cases can interrupt recognition.
You must evaluate and test the App in your own setup—especially for rehearsals and concerts—and always keep a reliable fallback (e.g., manual page turns).
4) Not fail‑safe; you assume the risk
The App is not fail‑safe and is not designed for safety‑critical use. Face‑gesture recognition can misread or miss cues. By using the App, you accept all risk of missed turns, delays, or interruptions and agree to maintain a manual fallback at all times.
5) Content & storage
Your documents and annotations remain yours. The App processes them locally for features you choose. We do not guarantee preservation of any content or settings; you are responsible for keeping originals and backups.
6) Changes, availability, and support
We may update, add, or remove features, device support, or discontinue the App (or parts of it) at any time. The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uptime, error‑free operation, compatibility with every device, or that the App will meet your needs.
7) Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‑infringement, and warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. You use the App at your own risk.
8) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, missed cues, lost data, or device damage, even if foreseeable. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the lesser of (a) the amount you paid to use the App in the 12 months before the claim or (b) US $10. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; where prohibited, they apply only to the extent allowed. Your mandatory consumer rights (if any) are not affected.
9) Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App.
10) Third‑party terms
Your use of the App relies on Apple services and your device. Those are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third‑party services or failures.
11) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and may notify you in‑app. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the new Terms.
